Craft Challenge 2013: A very PJ Yarn Garland

Today's January leftover craft is being presented by PJ from Planned Pencil, one of our partner's in crime in this shindig. My craft was featured last week and is perfect for people who love door stops or owls. You can find it here.  Anja is on deck to share next Monday.

You can share your project too, on the 28th January at our Craft Challenge link-up. Visit any of us to show us what you have made....we can't wait to see your own ideas for 'leftover' crafts.

Check out PJ's super organised craft cupboard (my cupboard is pretty much my kitchen cupboard....being someone who doesn't store lots of leftover ingredients). So here's PJ to explain her excellent project!
My newly organized craft wall is finished. Whew! It took me way longer than I had originally thought for that project.  However the time I took out to finish my almost free storage boxes was time well spent.  As I was organizing myself I realized that I have a lot of yarn.  The arrows in the above picture point to all of it, and by all of it I mean the places I remember storing some.  There could be more, on a lower shelf, that I didn't include in this picture.  Don't judge me!

I chose three bright colors and started making yarn balls.
Lots of yarn balls, in all different sizes.
 See, lots!
Then I simply threaded a large needle and used that to string all the balls of yarn together in a garland.
I hung the garland on an old frame I had simply waiting for use.
Now I have some additional color in my craft space.  I love that it's not contained within the frame but goes from corner to corner, outside the box.  Just like the girl who made it.

I think my Christmas tree next year needs a garland of seasonally colored yarn balls.  Which means I have to start working on it now!

To find out more about PJ's awesome crafty abilities and to view her other crafts you should definitely go and visit her here. Just as exciting as this is that BLOG ANGELS sign-up opens here tomorrow. I cannot wait to have you involved again, or for the first time. Find out more about the project here.
